Disability Support Work and community access

Practical day-to-day support that builds skills and brings community within reach. Our support workers are trained in Positive Behaviour Support so the same approach a participant follows in their plan is what shows up in everyday support, in-home, in the community, and across regional South Australia.

Key points

  • Funded through the Core Supports budget at NDIS Price Guide rates.
  • Behaviour-aware support workers, trained alongside our PBS practitioners.
  • Community access and social inclusion is the focus, not just sitting at home.
  • Outreach to regional SA, so distance is not the reason a participant misses out.

What our support workers do

Support work is the practical layer of the NDIS, the day-to-day support that makes the rest of the plan real. Our workers help participants with daily living tasks, build skills around the house, get out into the community, attend appointments, and stay connected with the people they care about.

Community access and participation

We support participants to get out into the things that matter to them, sport and hobbies, study, work, volunteering, and connections with family and friends. Real community inclusion takes planning, patience, and a worker who knows the participant well.

Daily living and life skills

Cooking, shopping, managing money, transport, appointments, the day-to-day skills that make independent life possible. We teach with the participant, not around them, and we build the routines that stick.

Outreach model for regional clients

Most providers will not drive to regional South Australia regularly enough to make support work feasible. Ours does. We schedule outreach to the Yorke Peninsula, the Barossa, and the Mid North and Clare Valley, so regional participants get the same standard of support work as metro participants. This is the model the team was built around.

Funding under Core Supports

Disability Support Work is funded from a participant's Core Supports budget at NDIS Price Guide rates. Self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed all work with us.
