Behaviour Support for families and participants on the NDIS

If you are worried, exhausted, or stuck, you are in the right place. We listen first, then build a plan everyone around your family can actually use, across Adelaide and regional South Australia.

Before you commit to anything

  • A free 15 minute intake call before you commit to anything.
  • Support in your home, in the community, or by video, whatever works for your family.
  • Self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed participants are all welcome.

What behaviour support looks like in real life

A lot of families come to us at the point where the days feel unmanageable. Something is happening, at home or at school, and the advice so far has either not worked or has not been explained in a way anyone could act on. That is normal, and it is fixable.

Behaviour is communication. Our first job is to understand what a behaviour of concern is telling us, by spending real time with the participant in the places it happens and listening to the people who know them best. From there we build a Behaviour Support Plan that changes the situation, not the person, and we coach the people around the participant so the plan is genuinely theirs.

For children, adolescents, and adults

We support participants of every age. For children and adolescents, that often means working closely with family and school so the same approach is used in both places. For adults, it often means building independence and making sure support workers respond consistently. The plan is always built around the individual.

What we do in the first 30 days

  • A free 15 minute call to understand what is happening and answer your questions.
  • A conversation with the participant and the people who support them.
  • A Functional Behaviour Assessment in the settings where the behaviour happens.
  • An interim Behaviour Support Plan, which we always complete within the first month.
  • A clear, honest explanation of funding and the next steps.

Cost and funding

Behaviour support is funded under the Capacity Building - Improved Relationships part of an NDIS plan. We help you confirm it on your current plan or include it at your next review, and we are transparent about cost from the start.

From the very first chat, it felt different. No judgment, no rushing us. The Advanced Behaviour team really took the time to get to know our family and what life is like for us.
